This winter has thus far felt more like a confused extension of fall, or a premature spring. Despite the absence of an extended winter chill, the promise of spring still feels as sweet as ever. Longer days lend the feeling that time in the garden is right around the corner. There are ways that our gardening habits can be more or less climate and ecologically friendly. To learn more, Island Grown Initiative and the Chilmark Library are offering a workshop titled Planning a Permaculture Garden on Saturday March 25 from 12 to 1:30 pm at the West Tisbury School.
