Should fossil fuels be prohibited in buildings on the Vineyard? Should buildings be required to create more energy than they consume?
Members of the Martha's Vineyard Commission (MVC) Energy Committee mostly answer yes to both questions and have proposed a new Energy Policy that would push the island in this direction, starting with all commercial and residential projects that come under MVC review as part of the Development of Regional Impact (DRI) process.
On Thursday, December 17th at 5pm we have an opportunity to provide feedback on this policy directly to the MVC.
Please read, review, spread the word, and come next Thursday ready to ask questions and to express your opinions.
