MV Commission DRI Checklist Review
Every two years the MVC is required to review its standards and criteria for identifying what types of development qualifies as Developments of Regional Impact (what is more commonly called the "DRI Checklist). A subcommittee has drafted proposed changes. Among the more significant changes to the DRI Checklist are the following:
To reduce the DRI Residential Development trigger from 10 lots or units to 5. To add Large Residential Structures: Any Development of a dwelling unit and/or any other structure on the same lot as the principal dwelling unit, including the expansion of an existing dwelling unit and/or other structure, with a Floor Area which, in combination with the Floor Area of all other structures on the property, exceeds 6,500sq ft.
